We have just received shipment of our annual special dessert wines (The Artists Formerly Known As "Ports"). In addition to the perennial favorite, Raspberry Chocolate Port, this year we also have Chocolate Salted Caramel Port (back after a one year layoff), and a new one, Toasted Marshmallow Port. Also new this year is a name change for the entire special dessert wine line: Après. I guess some MBA somewhere has a new feather in his/her cap. . . As last year's sales of the special Port line were slow, we cut back our orders this year, so quantities are very limited. If you've ever tasted these you know how wonderful they are, so it's best to get'em while you can! They are real crowd pleasers! Raspberry Mocha Port (4 available) - Bright raspberry up front on the nose is rounded with deeper cherry and plum notes and even more exotic hints of cranberry and spice. Flavors of rich chocolate, roasted coffee and vanilla layer the palate with plush, luxuriant decadence.
Coffee Port(4 available) - Typical of medium roast coffee, aromas of toffee, burnt marshmallow and chocolate will entice you and follow through to a palate which finishes with lingering notes of vanilla.
Black Forest Port (Cherries & Chocolate! - 4 available) - Bursting with rich aromas of red and dark cherry, this full-flavoured dessert wine style also has a hint of dark chocolate fused with plum and toasted oak on the nose.
